    IDENTIFYING SUPPORTIVE PEOPLE

HOW TO HAVE A HAPPIER LIFE!

This is a little book about a big subject – having supportive people in your life and also being supportive yourself.

The dictionary states that the word support is “from Latin, supportare “convey, carry, bring up,” from sub “up from under” + portare “to carry.”

When we say a person is supportive, in the literal sense of the word, we are saying that person carries us “up from under,” and it very often feels that way!

An important key to a happy, successful life is having supportive people around you. This book provides you with helpful information to help you discern with great accuracy who is supportive and who is not.

OPTIMIZE YOUR RESULTS FURTHER – USE THIS AS A WORKBOOK TOOL

Each page in this book is a brief statement describing a trait, behavior or type of action you can expect from a supportive person, family, group of people, team, etc.

The information in this book is helpful to know, and you can optimize the value even further by using it as a workbook tool. Here are a few simple ideas:

With each page stop to consider the people you know, or have known, who align with the concept on that specific page. Write down their names and make it a point to get in touch with them and thank them.

If you think of a person who is not supportive, consider why you have allowed that person to remain in your life and continue to undermine you.

Supportive people display the 36 core concepts listed on the next page – read the list before reading further.

Create your own list of what you would categorize as supportive.
