Philosophy
AS I SEE IT...
There are a myriad of ways to reach one's truths. My experience is that a way that will resonate with one individual may not resonate with another; but another way WILL.
To me, what is important is that each of us finds our way, our path to enlightenment, our connection back to who we really are. For some, one path might be what is offered on this site; for some, it will be another path. It doesn't matter to me how one gets there; what is important is that each person discovers those personal truths that lead him or her to Total Love, Happiness, Success, Abundance, Harmony, and Peace.
With that in mind, I invite you to read about my philosophy, my viewpoints about life. I share these ideas with you for that purpose only - just to share them - not as Truths, but only as what is true for me. It is not important whether you agree or not. But if in some way it is helpful – that is what is important.
FROM THE HEART...
The foundation of the work I do - my seminars, individual consultations and writing - is purely spiritual and educational, intended for spiritual and educational gain only; it is not counseling, psychotherapy, psychology, psychoanalysis or psychiatry, and it is not medical or physical treatment.
The goal is to free people from any traps in which they may feel stuck - including the untruths about the physical universe that many of us were taught to believe, and not question - in order to experience their own unique Spirituality and Truths.
Once free of any traps, one can still play the Game of Life - the difference is that one is playing from a different point of view, a more powerful point of view. It is a different context. One is playing the Game from outside the Game, so to speak. Outside the Game, one has the best vantage point, for one can see the most, and can see with the most clarity, and with compassion for oneself and others.
When considering the subject of Life, there is a BIG PICTURE and a LITTLE PICTURE. Playing the Game from the viewpoint of the BIG PICTURE makes life happy, successful, harmonious and fun; playing the Game from the viewpoint of the LITTLE PICTURE can make life miserable, full of sorrows and woes.
In the BIG PICTURE, each human being is a spiritual being, perfect, flawless, omniscient and omnipotent, and therefore does not really need counseling or any other type of therapy. My goal is to help anyone who wants help in removing what doesn’t work and enhancing what does work. A Being is whole and complete by its very nature. If one removes the barriers that block one from knowing, with complete awareness and understanding, who one truly is and what one's own truths are, life becomes easy and fun because one is living from the highest point of integrity, as defined by each Being’s own adjudication.
There is a fundamental difference between who one IS and what one HAS. Each of us IS an Eternal Being (Spirit, Soul) with the innate right to be FREE.
Each of us HAS a body to use as a tool in the Game. For clarification, not proof, the following thoughts are offered. Have you ever played the game of Monopoly? When you chose the Top Hat or the Scottie Dog and placed it on the Game board, did you believe that the game piece was you? Or that it merely represented you in the game? The physical body is a tool with which to play the game of life. Did you see the movie “Ghost”with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore? When he lost his “game piece,” he suddenly had a very difficult time getting anyone to see or hear him.
Each of us HAS a mind to use as a tool in the game. The mind in its function parallels a computer. Whatever you program into it, that’s what it spits back out at you.
Memories of upsetting experiences comprise part of the programming. Even if forgotten, they are still part of the programming and if the right key is pushed, that program starts running. The good news is, you are the programmer and can change the program or delete it altogether.
Memories of positive experiences comprise part of the programming too. You loved Johnny so you still like Aramis cologne to this day; or, you loved Alice so you feel good whenever you hear “that song.” Fragrances, food, music, clothing, even people – all these can be - not necessarily are but can be – the result of the “right” key on the keyboard being pushed. There is nothing particularly harmful about this; it’s just that, if a key is being pushed, it is far more empowering to be aware of it.
There are no victims; each individual is the creator of his or her reality.
There are no mistakes; every experience, however negative, is an opportunity to learn a lesson and evolve to higher and higher levels of enlightenment.
Any misdeeds one has committed against other people, even unintentionally, can adversely affect success in any endeavor. Committing misdeeds, for most people, leads to guilt, one of the most destructive emotions in the game of life.
THE FUNDAMENTAL WAYS TO WIN IN THE GAME OF LIFE ARE:
Playing from a WIN/WIN point of view, in which everyone can win, rather than a WIN/LOSE point of view, in which there must be a loser.
Granting other people the right to be who they are; that is, not criticizing them and/or trying to force them to change to suit your "shoulds."
Cleaning up misdeeds. Guilt closes doors that would otherwise be open. Eliminating guilt opens the doors.Being legal, ethical and moral.
Being free of the compulsion to be right; moreover, being free of the compulsion to cause oneself some sort of suffering or pain, just to prove the point that one is right and someone else is wrong (Examples: getting hurt on the job to prove with finality just how bad one's boss is; being in a poor financial situation to prove one's parents did a poor job of parenting and one was right all along, they didn't know anything about money).
Taking ownership for one's creations, one's reality, one's life; taking responsibility for what one creates and not blaming others for the condition in which one finds oneself in life; by the same token, not blaming oneself. Responsibility and blame are entirely different.
Not mistakenly and/or unknowingly taking ownership for those things created by others (Example: becoming an engineer because that was your parents' goal for you, when you, in fact, wanted to be a dancer).
Listening to what other people say from a neutral position, as opposed to judging what they say.
Knowing one's purpose or mission in Life and having goals in accordance with one's Life Purpose.
Having goals and moving towards them.
Having love and reverence for one's family and friends.
Having a team of supporters, and/or being on a team, rather than trying to operate alone.
Supporting those people who support you.
Operating from outside the Game.
Being of service to others.
Celebrating your accomplishments.
Tithing and/or giving your support to a group, charity or organization you support in your heart.
Trusting your instincts and what you know to be true.
Being committed to your core principles and beliefs, no matter what.
