The Guest House
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.

POWERFUL WORDS OF WISDOM FROM ECKHART TOLLE
Eckhart Tolle is the author of The Power of Now, A New Earth, and other brilliant works. The first time I heard about Eckhart Tolle was about 4 years ago when I was standing in the kitchen of Robert & Kim Kiyosaki one Saturday morning, and Robert happened to walk in. He had just come from a book store and was carrying about 6 books in his arms. They were all the same book, The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. Lucky me! I happened to be at the right place at the right time, and as Robert set the books down on the counter, he handed me one. Later I also found an audio version and listened to the book, with Eckhart Tolle himself narrating. He has a peaceful voice, and I enjoyed listening to his other books and any other lecture of his that I could find. I love the way Eckhart Tolle expresses his thoughts and beliefs, and in that light I share with you here a sampling of my favorite quotes from his books and speeches: People love to hear the truth; the moment you tell the truth there is connection. The teacher doesn’t teach; he/she just opens the space to let the teaching happen. Compassion is the awareness of a deep bond between yourself and all creatures.
